  • POEM: Endurance by s./j. goldner (10/2/2018 2:28:00 AM)

Well Fred Durst, her spending time in jail for DUI's is irrelevant to her poem. No one likes a tattletale.

  • POEM: If You Die Before Me by Dr. Antony Theodore (3/21/2016 8:08:00 AM)

An intriguing piece; while I can appreciate the concept of this work, I'm distracted by the amount of editing this poem could use; I did find your footnote useful, for the explanation and motivation behind your work became much clearer. -Joe

I find it interesting how we are on two different paths, but yet I find I can relate to a lot of what you write. I guess it shows me the more I discover about us humans, the more I can see inner similarities in spite of the outward differences. I also think that our paths may look different on the outside, but it's really the same spiritual journey for each of us toward one God, however we see Him/Her.

By Jim Breunig (Laurel, MD USA) -
I found Joe's book refreshing, inspiring and a great change of pace from today's social environment. There's more violence than ever in the media - so it's uplifting to read something positive.

As the title suggests, Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory is a spiritually based book. Although I am not a very religious person, I enjoyed the book because it's not overbearing with preaching or religion. This book contains poetic expressions of events and topics that everyone can relate to. These principled messages are good reminders of the simple things in life that we often take for granted.

Also, I like the format of the book. Unlike a novel, where you may have a long chapter or no place for a good stopping point, this book is a compilation of short versed poetry. This enables you have a quick read while commuting, enjoying a coffee break, or anytime when having a few minutes to relax.

Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory is a book you'll want to read again and again. Whenever you feel a little down, this book will take your mind off the annoying things in life to remind us of positive things and what's important.

Footnote: I feel I should inform you that Joe is my oldest brother. My purpose in providing this fact is to show my honesty and credibility. Having spent many years serving as an army officer, my word is very important to me.
