    • POEM: Even Though by Silence Dogood (9/17/2008 9:55:00 PM)

Kyla, I read several of your poems. They were dark, yet had a spiritual quality to them. I sense that possibly you have lost someone. Also, your writing reflects the severity of youth. My writing when I was 13,14 years old were of a 'down' nature. The writing was exceptional for someone your age. Get the right education and I believe I will be reading your works. You show great promise as a writer. One other thing. People that love you will make you cry. The difference is, they will ask for forgiveness and, because you love them, you will forgive them. Good luck with your future. Dan Lloyd

    • POEM: ! ! ! Terrors In The Crowd! ! ! by Dr subhendu kar (9/12/2008 9:58:00 AM)

That's what I'm talking about. Where CURVES OF SILENCE left me confused, TERRORS IN THE CROWD left me angry for two reasons.
      1. That there is so much hatred and violence in a world where so many loving and good people live.
2.That you ARE more talented than I am.
Good show. I not only understood this poem, but felt the pain and utter futility of war and killing.
I loved this poem. Thank you for writing it. Your poet friend, Dan Lloyd

    • POEM: ! ! ! Curve Of Silence! ! ! by Dr subhendu kar (9/12/2008 9:50:00 AM)

      Dear Dr. Subhendu Kar,
I'll be the first to admit that I am not the brightest person in the world. Having said that, my opinion of CURVE OF SILENCE may not be the best opinion. However, you ask.
The flow was good. The way you used descriptive language made me envious. The only problem I had was my inability to fully understand what you were trying to say. To me, poetry should speak to people, not in hidden meanings, but so that they can understand and glean what they will from the poem.
Your poem was beautifully written. I dare say that you, no doubt, have more talent than I. I wish that I was intelligent enough to understand your imagery.
      Your poetic friend, Dan Lloyd
