By the way, I'd only listen to the comment by Leyenberger. All the others are poettaster-ish at best. p.s. I hope no one goes and stalks you since, not only have you bared your soul, you've also bared your name and location. Looking forward to more poems from someone in Toronto like me hehe

      Hi Jessica,

You sent me a msg asking me to read your poem. To be honest with you, I find it contrived, hackneyed, as if all that you had read in terms of various cliches concerning love and sex were spewed on the page, with some truth left in that 'ether' of your experience. Mind you, you're quite young. I read it as I would prose. One experiment to seek out is reading something like Wilde's prose-poetry and see if that resonates in terms of its form. Good luck with the writing! (p.s. and seek out new imagery/metaphors that add freshness to this topic! !)

    • POEM: A Thing Of Beauty (Endymion) by John Keats (12/30/2009 3:48:00 AM)

John Keats was a god. For him to have this view is godly. And let us not forget that death was for Keats as beautiful, if not more than what he deemed an object of beauty, such as the everchanging reeds and rills and whatnot.
