    • POEM: I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud by William Wordsworth (12/2/2008 11:55:00 PM)

Wordsworth is one of my favourite Romantic poet. The foundation of Romanticism was laid by Coleridge and Wordsworth. This is simply a superb poem.Poet never felt himself isolated in the company of nature. He is truely a Pantheist, who loves nature as a mother.
Wordsworth 's observations are very deep and may be crowd of Daffodils seems to him as heads of angels.Personification is also used by the poet and his intellect is reflected in this poem. All images are full of life and mood of poem is joyous.

    • POEM: Evelyn Hope by Robert Browning (12/2/2008 11:35:00 PM)

In this poem by Robert Browning purity of emotions is discussed at length. This poem is a dramatic lyric.Evelyn Hope is the name of a girl who is dead now and the lover is sobbing at her death and expressing his feelings of love for ' Beautiful Evelyne Hope'.
I feel this is an abnormal love. The lover doesnot open his lips until the death of his beloved.I think he should have expresed his love instead of waiting a lot, expression of feelings is very important for a self.

    • POEM: Home Burial by Robert Frost (10/20/2008 10:59:00 AM)

This poem is Dramatic lyric with smooth language and gentle tone. This poem is extremely emotional in its medium.Basically this is a poem about a couple whose first born baby has died. The husband has accepted the tragic death but the wife is not able to take up her life again. This poem shows their is grevious loss of communication between this couple and sad shadows of their dead child alienates them more from each other. The husband threw himself into the most difficult task of digging the grave of his only child but wife thinks that he has been so unemotional while doing such an act of digging the grave of his only child and putting him into the grave.
