    • POEM: Why Do I Love You, Sir? by Emily Dickinson (1/10/2012 6:20:00 PM)

I quoted this in the eulogy for my beloved, who died on 12/2/11.

    • POEM: After by Robert Browning (7/10/2011 7:32:00 PM)

An awfully good poem: the dramatic voice of the poem so skillfully rendered!

    • POEM: We Wear The Mask by Paul Laurence Dunbar (5/9/2010 12:47:00 PM)

A powerful poem! One thinks of course of the black minstrel's mask, but it also reminded me of Marcel Marceau's extraordinary mime 'The Maker of Masks, ' in which the mask maker alternately tries on the Greek masks of tragedy and comedy he makes; then the mask of comedy gets stuck on his face and he can't get it off, as he ages woefully behind that grinning mask.
