    Sup Yoonie,
This poem spoke to me, spoke to that time just before dawn all insomniacs know and hate when the sun, in rising, smirks at our frustration and the night (our companion and friend) fades into jarring reality. This reality becoming the dream as we go through the motions of living in it.
A man once wrote 'without sleep everything is a copy of a copy of a copy', such is true for the poet as well the insomniac and being both I say poetry is the reality while life is the petty distraction.

If this poem were at a wine tasting I might say It's flavour is minimalist, almost lonely feeling with a hint of emotional bleakness in it's body with mellow undertones of melancholy pensieveness tempered in wisdom giving the overall flavour it's dimensions(without complicating it overmuch) .
Couple that with your(as always) steady syntax and the crisp, though forlorn, finishing lines and you get this soon-to-be classic bit of poetry. You also get a spectacularly long-winded mixed metaphor with far less wit than I had originally planned, apologies.
As always, well done and may you continue to be a credit to contemporary poetry.

  • POEM: You Are Good Murderers Only by Tweaker Madness (3/19/2010 4:50:00 PM)

who are you raging against with such vehemence? I truly want your honest answer (if you're willing to share it) and like a good poet, leave my judgments at the door. I share this passionate hatred with you and wonder if our foes be of a kind. Well written and moving to read, a rant for those who truly have things about which to rant.
