Incomparable poem. Hafiz, the jewel of Persia.

  • POEM: Forgive Me If I Remain Ignorant by Mary Angela Douglas (8/31/2018 6:33:00 AM)

This is a poem about the beauty and strength of great poems, music and literature to comfort the individual even in the midst of turmoil brought about by the mistakes of nations and historical periods. God has given us Song to console us in the midst of the Terrible and impossible to endure. To be a poet is a high, high calling.

  • POEM: In Spring And Your Lady Slipper Stories by Mary Angela Douglas (12/17/2016 5:44:00 PM)

Thank you for the kind words about the poem. I do agree that anytime we can write anything about our parents who loved and who believed in our dreams we are on the right, the golden track and there is no honor that the world can give that is more beautiful and higher than to remember their love. We will meet all our relatives in Heaven and then we will all live eternally in the Kingdom of REAL poetry and of our dreams and it is not for nothing that we had those feelings as children no matter how discouraged we get and how the world tries to drag us down in later life. THE DREAMS ARE TRUE. THE WORLD IS THE ILLUSION, THE WORLD THAT TRAMPLES ON OUR DREAMS. THE DREAM IS IN GOD AND CANNOT DIE. AND NEITHER WILL WE. In Christ. He who believes in me though he dies yet shall he live. What is a more beautiful true dream and poem than that I do not know. Words of strong and solid comfort. And the best part is just by WRITING the poems and trying to share them we are already fulfilling our dream and honoring our fathers and mothers especially because we can share our poems on the internet. Be very encouraged and Merry Christmas season to you.
