  • POEM: Died September 11 2001 by Justin Tanabe (9/14/2009 7:41:00 PM)

This poem, along with the poems concerning Columbine and the Montreal Massacre, shows that these major events have had a great influence on you. It is interesting to note the whiskey bottles littering your grave in the Sept.11th poem. I assume they indicate that you would be sorely missed by your loved one. If, when you die, you are sorely missed then you are a very lucky man - lucky to have had a relationship where someone cares so deeply about you.

I, too, believe that I would fall short of courage if I faced the Montreal Massacre situation.

  • POEM: My Dying Wish by Justin Tanabe (9/11/2009 10:07:00 PM)

Why are you going to die before your mother?

  • POEM: Life Is Beautiful by Justin Tanabe (9/11/2009 10:04:00 PM)

Justin, I enjoy reading your poems because they are reader-friendly and filled with emotion. They let people see into your mind and learn what kind of person you are. Your poems say good things about you Justin.

I finished my poem about Terry Fox and it is now in my collection. It is titled Run Terry, Run. I am reasonably pleased with it but it didn't turn out to be my best work - oh well. We can't win them all. You are right, though, he is a Canadian hero. I didn't realize before I read up on him that he ran almost a marathon every day. He averaged over 23 miles a day. That's unbelievable - especially because he was an amputee. I just found out about this poemhunter site over a week ago and I am so happy that I can communicate for a change with people of the same interest.

    Regards

    Lone Dog
