    • POEM: Fire And Ice by Robert Frost (10/11/2009 11:21:00 PM)

Also, If you think of fire metaphorically representing the religious and the coming of the lord and the events that are supposedly going to take place. And Ice representing the scientific community, the big bang theory, and the events that are supposedly going to be taking place....
I think he wanted to make a point about the different predictions of the fate of our world by both contrasting parties.

    • POEM: If You Forget Me by Pablo Neruda (10/10/2009 11:19:00 AM)

' If you can do this your not in love...'
I'm going to have to say that you might not be looking at this poem closely enough.
Maybe, try looking at what he says as a sort of reluctant agreement or promise, rather than a twisted threat, and you might understand just how much he really does love this person.
It takes a lot for someone to let go, It's hard for people to not harass and beg their ex-lovers not to come back to them.
It sounds horrible at first, the way he talks of losing his love little by little and forgetting his other, but really that is probably one of the most noble and respectful things one can do for a person. Leaving quietly and not giving your ex-lover a struggle because they stopped loving you.
