    • POEM: Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening by Robert Lee Frost (2/22/2011 8:42:00 AM)

The fact that the third line in the last stanza just repeats the rhyme in the other lines... deep, keep, sleep, sleep... is significant in the context of the overall rhyme scheme. In the first three stanzas the third line leads to the next stanza. Sleep... sleep in the last stanza indicates a closure, stopping the forward movement of the rhymes in the previous stanzas, and emphasizes that sleep in the last line refers to death.
