Michael Walker's last comments on poems and poets

  • POEM: Poet At The Computer by L MILTON HANKINS (10/28/2020 9:27:00 PM)

There is still a place for the pen and ink in writing a poem draft. No question. Putting those words onto a computer screen is a different challenge. Were it not for poetry, I would never have learned to use a computer at all. After struggling with computers, as you have, I must admit they have changed my life. A most stimulating poem for making comparisons.

  • POEM: Cellular Phones by L MILTON HANKINS (10/28/2020 9:21:00 PM)

I partly agree with you, as I own an iPhone myself. However, I never take it with me out of the house, and it will only perform the most basic functions, because that is what I have paid for. I cannot even text, although they are good to read. A very thought-provoking poem here.

  • POEM: At The Graveside Of One Who Suffered by L MILTON HANKINS (10/28/2020 9:16:00 PM)

It is a good thing to grieve for loved ones at a cemetery; you are right. I do that quite a lot. It can make you feel afraid of your own death sometime in the future. I know where you are coming from.
